So, I have decided to make a journal entry to inform people of my current undertaking. Normally I wouldn't bother with something like this, but since I'm anticipating a spike in traffic sometime this month I felt it necessary, so that anybody coming to my page will know just what it is I'm doing right now. So, here goes:

My zombie anthology isn't going to be a collection of completely unrelated, random zombie attacks, no no no. What I'm doing is telling one big, huge story, from every possible angle possible.

Ya see, one of my main complaints with zombie stories, no matter how much I adore them, is that you only get a fraction of the horror that's going on in the world. When a zombie outbreak occurs on such a large scale, there are SOOOO many different opportunities for such horrificly interesting events, I understand why most would just pick one story and focus on that. Well, not me.

In my story, when the zombie outbreak occurs, you're going to hear about everything. Maybe in one story the main characters will be running for their lives and one of them will get hit by a car, and then in a later story maybe I'll go back and focus on the driver of that car.....maybe I'll detail WHY they were driving as madly as they were, and what they were thinking when they hit that person.

In between each story will be a short filler type piece, such as the last diary entries of a middle school girl that chronicle the changes she's seeing in the world as the zombie outbreak first, well, breaks out. And maybe one of these fillers will be a newspaper style article focusing on the strange happenings that have been going on of late, such as the frightening escalation of cannibalism and other such bizarre crimes.

With the way I'm writing this anthology the read will get the FULL story on the outbreak, from every possible angle, from as many different locations in the world as I choose, and the best part is, it leaves this story completely open ended. The world is SO huge, and there are SO many stories that could burst forth from an outbreak that I can always add more to it.

Anyways, I hope I've done at least a somewhat decent job of explaining what my project is and why I'm doing it. The first story is, imo, the least inspired of all of my ideas, but I hear people like it a fair amount and I must admit, I like some of the ideas I've put in to it, so maybe it's not as "mleh" as I make it out to be. It's called "Super Zombie Holocaust".....and yes, that name actually DOES make sense :-p

Well, if you enjoy THAT story once it's finished be sure to keep an eye out for the rest of my anthology pieces as I'm fairly certain they'll be a great deal better. Well, at least I hope they'll be better. idk...we'll see.....
